Cecilia

Cecilia is 87 years old. She survives by chicken farming. For part of her life, she was the “midwife” (person who assists with the Parthians) of the Zonte. Almost every day she has to walk for 1.4km cobbled slope by herself from her house to the place she sells soft drinks and candy. Cecilia also supports her granddaughters.

Even though a few years back she got access to electricity, she still has no access to drinking water.

For most of her life, she was toothless. Her age and financial conditions were always a barrier to her dental care, but not anymore!
