Carlos

Mr. Carlos has devoted almost all his life to growing corn and beans. He comes from Julupe, one of the 11 cantons (including Zonte) belonging to the municipality of Chiltiupán. At the age of he suffers from arterial hypertension, high cholesterol, and vision problems.

A few years ago Carlos was seriously injured in his back and legs which will affect him for the rest of his life. Carlos takes medication for arthritis and headaches. He spent more than a decade that he has no teeth, and due to a lack of resources he had not had access to basic dental care.
