Santiago

Santiago is 68 years old. He is a war veteran, left with a disability from the conflict, and still has three projectiles in one of his arms, which makes it difficult for him to work. He has vision problems and high blood pressure.

He had gone 30 years without dental treatment of any kind, and on his small income he was never able to have it seen to. At the consultation his teeth were destroyed and infected, with extensive destruction of the jawbones. Nineteen extractions were carried out, along with bone regeneration.

His gratitude on receiving his dentures left a lump in our throats as he waved goodbye.
