José - Don Chema

José María Montoya is close to 80 and has farmed all his life. He has seven children, if he is counting right. Known as Don Chema, he has energy to spare, lifts everyone’s spirits with his guitar and is not a bad singer either.

Every time he comes to the clinic he brings beans from his own harvest. His corrective treatment and the healing that followed took almost three months.

Today Don Chema has his smile back, thanks to Bitcoin. He has given the clinic plenty of smiles himself, with his warmth and friendliness. “People won’t make fun of me anymore,” he told us.
