Doña Rosa

Doña Rosa is 61 and takes seasonal work in a grocery store when there is any.

She was diagnosed with hypothyroidism 25 years ago, and over the same period she lost most of her teeth. She was able to get dentures at the time, but they broke easily, which led to many problems with her oral health.

She later developed a palatal torus, a bony growth on the palate, which complicates treatment and makes rehabilitation harder. Even so, her smile has been restored.
