Cándida

Cándida is 60 and has no formal job. She earns her living selling fruit, farming and doing housework, and she looks after her small home.

She has six children. Her youngest daughter wants to be a nurse, and Cándida hopes she does well at school.

Fifteen years ago she had kidney surgery. For 25 years she has been missing almost all of her teeth, and limited money meant she never had access to dental rehabilitation. She is chewing better now, feels more confident and has a new smile.
