Antonia

Antonia is 50. Most of her life has gone to the cornfield, making tortillas and the work of the house. She is the mother of seven children, who also work bringing in the maize.

A few months ago she was seriously ill with a viral infection, though she has recovered well. It is more than four years since she lost all her teeth and suffered severe loss of her jawbone.

Her oral rehabilitation has given her back her confidence and her dignity.
