Dominga

Dominga is 67 years old. She has spent most of her life on housework, working in the fields and helping her husband, who is a fisherman.

She also helps care for her 13-year-old granddaughter, who recently had a stroke. Her own health has come second. She has been waiting months for surgery on a herniated disc that makes walking difficult.

She had not seen a dentist in 35 years. Her denture was broken and in poor condition, and the teeth she had left were badly worn and almost gone.
